Requirements

CPU - Any PC based computer at 500Mhz (or better) with 256 MB RAM. The manual version has been used on those MACs that have dual boot capabilities. I recommend either ‘small form’ desktop or a notebook computer.

Operating System - Windows 7, Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 Release , Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4. For the automated version, you will also need Internet Explorer 6.0 or better.

Video - 1024 x 768 screen resolution or higher

Rapid Record will not work with a lower resolution. The newer computers are all coming through with this higher resolution capability.

Printer- Any laser printer with 600 dpi resolution. Anything less than 8 PPM is too slow for use in the operating room. Most users will simply print to a network printer located in the Recovery Room.

Hard Drive -100 MB of free space if you intend to archive your cases.

The picture below, shows the hardware setup at my hospital. The program will also work on your notebook computer.
